Product Overview

OICE-304 is a quantum passive radiative cooling shade membrane fabric built on a high-strength polyester fibre core impregnated with PVC resin and finished with a PDVF anti-fouling top coating. The quantum spectrally controlled formulation delivers high solar reflectance and high infrared atmospheric-window emittance for passive cooling, while the PDVF surface provides self-cleaning and weather resistance — combining shading, cooling, waterproofing and tear resistance in one flexible membrane.

This technical data sheet is compiled in accordance with ASTM membrane standards, EU REACH, RoHS 2.0 and the ISO 11014 safety data sheet framework. It is intended for car covers, tents, shade structures and large inflatable architectures.

1. Product Identification

Product nameOICE-304 Quantum Cooling Shade Membrane Fabric
Product typeQuantum passive radiative cooling shade membrane fabric: high-strength polyester fibre impregnated with PVC resin, top surface with PDVF anti-fouling coating
Core principleThe polyester-PVC substrate carries a quantum spectral control formulation with a PDVF anti-fouling top layer, achieving high solar reflectance and high infrared atmospheric-window emittance for passive radiative cooling. Compared with the same material and colour, cooling performance improves by approximately 15% and overall energy savings reach approximately 30%. The PDVF surface is self-cleaning and weather resistant, combining shading, cooling, waterproofing and tear resistance.
Recommended supportsTensioned steel frames, tent frames, inflatable support structures, vehicle cover substrates. Supports must be flat and free of sharp burrs to avoid puncturing the fabric.
Typical applicationsVehicle covers, outdoor camping tents, architectural shade awnings, open-air shade and cooling structures, large inflatable architectures, temporary venue shading, outdoor equipment sun covers — flexible membrane applications requiring shading, passive cooling, weatherproofing and tear resistance

2. Key Features

2.1 Quantum passive radiative cooling — The polyester-PVC substrate incorporates spectrally modified fillers and a PDVF top layer for high solar reflectance and high infrared window emittance. Compared with the same material and colour, cooling performance improves by approximately 15% and overall energy savings reach approximately 30%, lowering the temperature of the space beneath the membrane and reducing internal heat build-up.

2.2 PDVF anti-fouling self-cleaning surface — The PDVF protective coating resists dust and contaminant adhesion and self-cleans in rain, maintaining high solar reflectance for long-term cooling performance.

2.3 High-strength polyester-PVC substrate — Polyester fibre skeleton impregnated with PVC resin provides high tensile strength, tear resistance and puncture resistance, suited to tensioned structures, inflatables and car covers under dynamic load, with strong wind-load capacity.

2.4 Long-term weathering and UV ageing resistance — The PDVF surface resists UV attack, salt spray and thermal cycling. It will not chalk, crack or lose coating under long-term outdoor exposure, suitable for coastal and exposed outdoor environments.

2.5 Excellent waterproofing and air tightness — The dense PVC-impregnated substrate is impermeable and airtight, suitable for inflatables, tents and outdoor rain and sun protection.

2.6 Low VOC and environmental compliance — Compliant with EU REACH and RoHS 2.0. Contains no lead, cadmium, chromium or mercury and no excessive SVHC substances.

2.7 Flexible and easy to process — Can be cut, high-frequency welded and seamed to produce tents, inflatables, car covers and other shaped articles. Colours can be customised.

2.8 Two weights available — 300 g/m² lightweight grade for car covers and simple awnings; 850 g/m² high-strength grade for large tensioned shade structures and large inflatable architectures.

4. Processing and Installation

4.1 Support structure preparation — Support frames and substrates must be flat and smooth. Remove sharp burrs and edges to prevent puncturing the fabric. Inflatable and vehicle cover substrates must be clean and dry, free of oil and sharp particles.

4.2 Processing and service conditions — Ambient temperature 5–45 °C. Avoid tensioning or installation in strong wind, heavy rain or severe dust storms. In low temperatures, tension slowly to avoid cold embrittlement.

4.3 Membrane seaming — High-frequency welding is recommended. Clean the overlap area before welding; overlap width ≥ 50 mm; welds must be continuous and dense with no cold welds or gaps. Dedicated PVC membrane adhesive may also be used.

4.4 Tensioning and detail reinforcement — Control pre-tension during installation to avoid over-stretching. Add edge binding and reinforcement patches at corners, fixing points and welds. Use protective washers at fixing points to prevent stress concentration and tearing.

4.5 Curing — After processing and tensioning, allow 72 hours to release internal stress. Avoid scratching with sharp objects and impact from heavy objects during curing. In the initial outdoor period, avoid direct impact from strong typhoons.

4.6 Recommended system — Support structure pre-treatment → cut OICE-304 quantum cooling shade membrane fabric → weld or bond seams → fix with reinforcement washers at details → overall tensioning to final form.

5. Packaging and Storage

5.1 Packaging — Rolls are wrapped in moisture-proof PE film. Each roll carries an outer label stating model, weight, specification and batch. A protective film on the roll surface protects the PDVF anti-fouling layer from transport scratches.

5.2 Shelf life and storage — Store factory-sealed indoors at 5–30 °C, away from heat sources, open flames and direct sunlight. Store rolls horizontally; do not stack under heavy load, which can cause deformation and surface scratching. Shelf life 18 months. Avoid puncturing and friction scratching of the PDVF functional surface during transport.

6. Safety and Environment

6.1 A separate Safety Data Sheet compliant with ISO 11014 / GHS is supplied, meeting European and North American export audit requirements. GHS classification: this solid finished fabric is not a dangerous chemical. Dust and fume generated during cutting and thermal processing require protection.

6.2 Protection and waste — Wear safety goggles, a dust mask and solvent-resistant protective gloves during cutting and welding. Keep the workshop ventilated. Cutting offcuts must be disposed of in accordance with local regulations and must not be discarded at will.

6.3 Compliance — REACH SVHC, RoHS 2.0 and low-VOC system compliant. Contains no heavy-metal pigments.
